Job description: Working under the direction of the Ombudsman, the Program Analyst will be responsible for carrying out a range of professional activities to support and advance the OMB and RWA programs.  The primary role is to provide technical expertise related to workplace conflict resolution and the ombuds practice. Primary responsibilities will include conducting research, analysis, and developing approaches for effective conflict resolution.  The Program Analyst must have a positive and client-service attitude, initiative, collaborative orientation, and follow-through to advance the business objectives of the unit. Responsibilities will include, but will not be limited to:

- Researching and analyzing conflict resolution methods, concepts, etc., and developing strategies and corresponding resources in support of OMB resolution of conflicts and OMB program initiatives

- Providing technical advice to the Ombudsman on conflict resolution-related best practices, and creative approaches to handling of different types of conflict

- Assisting with the design, production, and delivery of presentations and training materials for Bank Group staff members and selected external audiences

- Contributing to the development and implementation of new services or processes, for example, conflict assessment, program evaluation, etc.

- Drafting/editing documents including briefings and reports

- Participating in working groups and activities of the Internal Justice Services network

- Keeping abreast of the latest developments in the ombudsman practice, alternative dispute resolution, and related fields

- Actively develop and share knowledge within and outside the business area

- Facilitating or supporting the conflict resolution of issues raised to OMB

- Supporting the RWA program as assigned

- Collaborating in the day to day activities of the OMB, and performing any other tasks necessary for the successful operation of OMB, as per the direction of the Ombudsman



- Master’s degree (with a focus on conflict resolution, labor or administrative law, or comparable discipline) and minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience (experience with international organizations, conflict resolution, and/or employment law is highly desirable)

 - Proven ability to conduct and coordinate comprehensive research on a range of issues, including those of a unique and complex nature

 - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

 - Proven ability to clearly and concisely prepare, present, discuss complex technical information at senior levels and to produce compelling materials and documents, often on very short notice

 - Ability and experience as a neutral third party in conflict resolution processes is desirable

 - Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including listening.   Ability to listen, speak, and write clearly and effectively

- Proven ability to work with confidential matters, work sensitively in multicultural environments, and possess an established reputation for integrity, sound judgment, fairness and discretion in dealings internally and externally

 - Proven ability to work in interdisciplinary task teams/working groups across organizational boundaries, including with senior officials, both internally and externally

 - Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, ability to prioritize assignments when working on multiple assignments, and to deliver high-quality work under pressure and tight deadlines, with minimum supervision

- Dedicated team player, builds effective working relationships with colleagues and can lead the work of others

 - Ability to adapt to changing business needs, and willingness to learn new skills and can take on additional responsibilities
