Organization/Company: Cesvi is an independent humanitarian organization working with the conviction that aid to the most vulnerable populations due to underdevelopment, or unlucky due to wars, natural disasters and environmental disasters, not only gives immediate relief to people who suffer, but contributes to the well-being of everyone in the long run. In designing and implementing his interventions, Cesvi works by trying to use local resources and relying above all on listening to those who need it most. The organization was founded in 1985, after a volunteer experience in Nicaragua, continuing from that day to give support to all the populations that need and are affected by natural disasters. Since 2009, the organization has started to implement its projects in Haiti too. The organization is currently working in two areas of Haiti: Port-au-Prince (PauP), in the South and Grand Anse. At PauP, the activities focus on supporting the House of Smiles, a recreational center for children and teenagers. Thanks to the participation of other institutions and NGOs, the House of Smiles has become a reference for children and families in the community. To the south and Grand Anse, Cesvi has launched a multi-donor program to improve the living conditions in the Les Cayes area. The project aims to support vulnerable families seriously affected by severe drought and hurricanes that hit the island almost every year

Job description: Cesvi organization is looking for an administrator who will work in close collaboration with the Project Manager, with the local administration and partners and the Project Accountant of Bergamo. The administrator is responsible for managing all aspects of financial and administrative control and planning to support the office in logistics and procurement.The administrator will specifically address the following tasks:

-Accounting of projects and preparation of all donor financial reports

-Ensure adequate controls on cash management and banking management

-Manage financial forecasting and planning updates to meet financial reporting requirements and deadlines specified by Cesvi donors

-Supporting the preparation of financial plans, forecasts and budget analysis

-Monitor closely all the administrative and financial activities and share the analyzes with the personnel concerned

-Be responsible for the correct filing of documents and projects

-Participate in meetings with representatives of UN agencies, EU representatives, officials from local and international NGOs, representatives from the private sector and civil society

-Management of the national administration of personnel, human resources and logistics

-Support in the preparation of project proposals regarding the budget aspect

Qualifications: For the position of administrator, the ideal candidate must meet the following requirements:

-Degree in Economics, Social Sciences or related fields

-2 or 3 years of work experience in a financial or accounting role abroad in the NGO sector

-Competencies of financial management, accounting skills and ability to draw up financial reports

-Experience in the management of grant contracts for emergency and post-emergency projects

-Good knowledge of the administrative rules and procurement procedures of the main donors (ECHO, UE, PAM, UNICEF)

-Knowledge of English and French both written and spoken

-Good Knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, as well as accounting packages and other database skills.


The following will be considered an advantage:

-Post-graduate specialization in Management or related sectors

-Previous experience in Haiti or in French-speaking countries in Africa

-Knowledge of Italian

Wage: The expected salary is 2200/2600 euros
