Job description: Each year Georgetown University awards several hundred need-based scholarships to eligible undergraduates students. The amount of each award may vary from $1,000 to more than $60,000 per year, depending on the student's financial need. In addition to small loan and work-study awards, these scholarships meet 100% of eligible undergraduates' demonstrated financial need


Qualifications: Eligibility for Georgetown University scholarship assistance is based on a need-analysis formula similar to the federal model but which analyzes additional factors that Georgetown believes affect students’ and their families’ ability to contribute to educational expenses. In order for limited funds to be shared most equitably, each student and his or her family is required to contribute to the fullest extent possible to meet educational expenses and to draw on income and all family net assets (including home equity).

Under the formula for determining eligibility for Georgetown scholarship funds, students are also expected to contribute to the cost of their education by providing a mandatory minimum contribution from summer employment and/or savings.

Typically the minimum expected contribution from summer employment and/or savings is $2,000 for first-year students. The minimum amounts expected are reviewed annually and may change during an aid applicant's period of enrollment. Furthermore, candidates must be making satisfactory academic progress toward their degree in order to be more eligible. Job description: Candidates will be involved in the human rights research field beyond a narrow legalistic approach also dealing with expert faculty and exploring how humans are socially embedded in wider processes of poverty, violence, identity, globalisation and the emergence of global forms of governance.

Qualifications: Candidates must fulfill the following required qualifications:

- A Master degree in a discipline relevant to the Human Rights research area. Applicants should also submit an outline research proposal (four to five pages) indicating the nature, ambitions and primary questions of the research project

- IELTS 6.5 final score with not less than 6.0 in each section

- An upper second-class undergraduate honours degree or equivalent international qualification
