Scholarship description: the Holland High Potential Scholarship is intended for excellent students from outside the European Union/European Economic Area (EU/EEA) who wish to do a master’s or a professional education programme at Maastricht University.

There are 24 scholarships available.

The scholarship covers living expenses (€12,350 – 13 months; €23,750 – 25 months), health and liability insurance (€710), visa application costs (€317), tuition fee (€13,000, €15,000 or €17,500, depending on the tuition of your study programme), and pre-academic training costs (€825). The High Potential scholarship is awarded for the duration of the Master’s programme – 13 months for a one-year master’s programme and 25 months for a two-year master’s programme.

Qualifications: all candidates must meet the following requirements

- you hold nationality in a country outside the EU/EEA and meet the requirements for obtaining an entry visa and residence permit for the Netherlands

- you have applied for admission to a full-time Master’s programme at Maastricht University which is participating in this scholarship programme (see list above)

- you meet the specific admission requirements of the UM Master’s programme to which you have applied

- you have never participated in a degree-seeking higher education programme, a primary education programme, or secondary education programme in the Netherlands

- you are not over 35 years of age on 1 September 2018

- you have obtained excellent results during your prior education programmes, as demonstrated by your latest grade transcript or certified by academic excellence

 

Application process: to apply for the scholarship, you must first register for one of the participating Master’s Programme (MA) at Maastricht University. Once you have submitted your application via Studielink, you will receive a student ID number which you will need in order to complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form.  You must then fill in the application form, upload the required documents, and submit your application online.

Studentship description: the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) Studentship Competition is now open for an October 2018 start. These studentships offers include:

- tuition fees waiver (Home / EU or International)

- maintenance (stipend) at current research-council rates for a full-time PhD

- invitation to teach and/or demonstrate

In addition to the studentship support, all Postgraduate Research (PGR) students in FASS have access to:

- professional development and skills support through the Doctoral College’s Researcher Development Programme

- at least £500 per year for research expenses

- invitation to enrol on our PGCert in Higher Education

- access to research seminars with visiting speakers and training appropriate to the discipline

 

Qualifications: studentships will be awarded on the basis of the academic excellence of both the candidate and the research proposal or your supporting statement, in the case of Economics. Candidates who apply to the Research Council Doctoral Partnership schemes (TECHNE and SeNSS) are automatically considered for the internal studentships as well (there is no need to apply twice)

 

Application process: it consists in the following steps

- identify and speak to a supervisor

- apply for a place on a PhD programme (you may be invited for an interview)

- complete a studentship application (the completed form should then be submitted as part of your online PhD application as the ‘Research Proposal)

Job description: Sydney Business School, University of Wollongong, offers five partial tuition scholarships for international students commencing their first course at in each of the three trimesters. The scholarship offers a 25% reduction of the tuition fee for the standard duration of the course. The scholarship is for a range of postgraduate business courses delivered from Wollongong and Sydney (see useful links).  

 

Qualifications: Applicants must meet each of the following conditions in order to apply:   

- Be enrolling in a Business Masters course at the University of Wollongong for the first time.  

- Commencing  studies in the trimester of which they are applying for the scholarship

- A Bachelor degree or Graduate Certificate with an Australian equivalent average of at least 70%

 

Wage: The international partial tuition scholarship offers a 25% reduction of the tuition fee
