Nell’ambito del partenariato strategico tra IAI ed Eni, l’Istituto Affari Internazionali selezionerà un laureando presso università pubbliche o private italiane (iscritto al secondo anno di laurea magistrale o di 2° livello) per una borsa di studio di sei mesi rivolta a chi intenda svolgere, nel periodo 15 ottobre 2019 – 15 aprile 2020, una tesi sulle tematiche dell’energia come motore di sviluppo e cooperazione internazionale, della sostenibilità e della transizione energetica.

Il candidato prescelto dovrà svolgere la sua ricerca presso l'Istituto, avvalendosi delle strutture e del supporto dello IAI. Potrà, inoltre, partecipare alle attività IAI e in particolare a quelle legate al programma "Energia, clima e risorse".

 

Requisiti:

I candidati devono provenire da una delle seguenti facoltà: Scienze politiche, Relazioni internazionali o Economia internazionale.

 

Il candidato prescelto dovrà svolgere la sua ricerca presso l'Istituto, avvalendosi delle strutture e del supporto dello IAI. Potrà, inoltre, partecipare alle attività IAI e in particolare a quelle legate al programma "Energia, clima e risorse".

 

Il candidato dovrà fornire, nella fase conclusiva del periodo in istituto ed entro il termine del 15/03/2020, un elaborato di sintesi della sua tesi.

 

Retribuzione:

L’Istituto, valutato ed approvato detto elaborato, riconoscerà al laureando a titolo di diritto d’autore l’importo di € 4.000 al lordo delle ritenute previste dalle vigenti normative in materia tributaria. Lo IAI si riserva, in caso di elaborato particolarmente meritevole, il diritto di procedere alla sua pubblicazione in un Quaderno IAI.

In case of equal merit, the student will prevail with the three-year weighted average, achieved by June 15, 2019, higher.

If the student is from non-Italian universities, the credits and the votes will be compared with the Italian university system: to this end the student must enclose the Transcript of Records with the Grade Point Average (GPA) and a Document explaining the grading system of your university/country. All attachments must be written in English or Italian, otherwise excluded from the competition. Any scholarships that may not be allocated will be shared between the remaining departments in proportion to the number of questions on the total.

The disclosure of the benefit assignment will be sent by July 2019.

 

Qualifications:

  • Italian students may apply if they possess, at the expiry date of this competition, a GMAT certificate with a minimum rating of 710 or a GRE equivalent certificate converted on the basis of the annexed table. The student with the three-year weighted average, achieved by June 15, 2019, higher.

 

  • The student from non-Italian universities: the credits and the votes will be compared with the Italian university system. To this end, the student must enclose the Transcript of Records with the Grade Point Average (GPA) and a document explaining the grading system of their university/country to the application form. All attachments must be written in English or Italian, otherwise excluded from the competition.

The scholarship will be confirmed for the entire duration of the course of study, provided that the student is jointly involved, by the end of the first year summer session, at least 70% of the training credits provided for in his study plan for the purposes of Obtaining the title, with a weighted average of not less than 27/30.

Wages: total exemption from the payment of the single contribution throughout the normal duration of the course of study

The Boustany MBA Harvard Scholarship is granted once every two years for a two year course at Harvard Business School. Each year is divided into two semesters. During the first year, all students will pursue the same course of study so that to build a solid, broad foundation of general management concepts and skills across all the key disciplines. During the second year, students choose from an unparalleled range of selective courses up to five courses per semester and also have the opportunity to cross-register for courses in other select graduate programmes.

Among the participants this year at the International Careers Fair there is the Fulbright Program born in 1946, by Senator J. Willam Fulbright in order to finance scholarships for research and teaching, facilitating international and competitive exchange of ideas and thoughts between the United States and other nations of the world.

The Fulbright program is sponsored by the Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs of the US State Department and by the Governments of the participating countries. The program operates in more than 155 countries worldwide and there are approximately 294,000 participants who have benefited from a Fulbright fellowship over the course of 60 years. About 7,500 scholarships are awarded worldwide each year.

In Italy, the program was launched in 1948 following the first agreement between the Government of the United States and the Italian Government and the establishment of the Commission for Cultural Exchanges between Italy and the United States (The US - Italy Fulbright Commission). The Fulbright Program for Italian and US citizens provides 130-140 scholarships each year.

 

Scholarships for Italian citizens: Fulbright scholarships for Italian citizens, offered for study, research and teaching projects in the best American universities, are reserved for Italian citizens who are:

  1. Graduated (three-year degree, second cycle degree or old degree);
  2. Graduates from the Academies of Art or Music;
  3. Researchers, associate professors, university professors.

Requirement for participation in Fulbright competitions is an excellent knowledge of the English language proven by the certificate TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) or by the IELTS certificate (International English Language Testing System, Academic format).

All Fulbright scholarships cover, in addition to university expenses, also the return journey from Italy to the United States and the medical insurance financed by the United States Government.

The Commission for Cultural Exchanges between Italy and the United States (Constitutive Act 18/7/1972) is a body with legal personality and is governed by a Steering Committee composed of twelve members: six Americans nominated by the Ambassador of the United States of America and six Italians appointed by the Minister of Foreign Affairs. The Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of the United States of America are the Honorary Presidents of the Commission.

The Commission is a bi-national body co-financed jointly by the U.S. Department of State, Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs and the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate General for Cultural Promotion and Cooperation and Directorate General for the Americas countries. The Commission's activities are aimed at strengthening and expanding the exchange culture between Italy and the United States.

The Commission is responsible for:

- Promoting study, research and teaching opportunities in Italy and the United States through scholarships for Italian and US citizens (70 scholarships each year);

- Promoting the organization of cultural, educational and scientific activities both nationally and internationally;

- Offering an information service on Fulbright scholarships and study in the United States at the Rome office and the consular office of the US Government of Naples;

- Offering scholarships to Italian universities and research centers through the Fulbright Inter-country Program and the Fulbright Specialist program.
