Job description: The scholarships consist not only of financial assistance but also include a program of ideational support. Qualifications: The Sponsorship Program for Foreign Students (Ausländerförderung) is aimed at international students and graduates who have acquired a university degree in their home country and who intend to complete postgraduate or master studies, doctoral studies or a research stay at a university in Germany. The candidate must be able to provide evidence of above average academic performance, bring broad general education and distinct interest in political issues, have a positive attitude towards democracy and human rights and have been actively engaged in voluntary work for the benefit of the people and the society in their home countries. A sufficient knowledge of the German language (level B2 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is obligatory for all scholars even if the courses of their planned studies are taught in English.

 

Wage/Fees: Graduates (master or postgraduate students) receive a monthly scholarship of € 850. PhD-students receive a monthly scholarship of € 1.200. Beside the monthly scholarship payments, multiple subsidies for our scholars are given. On request, health care insurance of up to the amount of € 120 per month. A family supplement provided that you and your spouse live together in one place in Germany for at least three months and that his/her income does not exceed the amount of € 450 per month. A supplement of € 194 per month for children living with you in Germany is granted. Fees resulting from courses at the university in Germany that are directly related to your studies can be refunded up to the amount of € 500 per semester. In contrast, we do not refund regular semester fees resulting from matriculation or annual re-registration.

During the first year, all students will pursue the same course of study so that to build a solid, broad foundation of general management concepts and skills across all the key disciplines. During the second year, students choose from an unparalleled range of selective courses up to five courses per semester and also have the opportunity to cross-register for courses in other select graduate programmes.

Successful scholars are then expected to complete a two-month unpaid internship with the Foundation.

 

Qualifications: Harvard students are known for sharing the following common characteristics:

  • Habit of leadership on any scale, from organizing a classroom to directing a combat squad, from running an independent business to spearheading initiatives at work;
  • Analytical aptitude and appetite. Harvard students assess, analyze, and act upon complex information within often-ambiguous contexts. In order to achieve this, the MBA Admissions Board will review your prior academic performance, the results of the GMAT or GRE, and, if applicable, TOEFL iBT and/or IELTS, and the nature of your work experience. There is no particular previous course of study required to apply; you must, however, demonstrate the ability to master analytical and quantitative concepts;
